Welcome to Local History
Did
you know the Local History Collection
is
an exciting resource
for researching your city?
Have you ever wondered about the important people who shaped the
city’s history?
Are you interested in newspaper articles
written when you
were a child?

Have you been thinking about researching your family history but haven’t gotten around to it? Make it a New Year’s Resolution to interview family members in 2010! Then check out the genealogy resources at the Long Branch Free Public Library! We have plenty of introductory materials on the Lower Level to get you started. Then take a look at the display of genealogy materials in the glass case outside the Local History Room during the month of January.
These are just a portion of the sources we have in the Local History Room, which is open on Tuesdays from 11:00 to 2:00, or by appointment. Contact Janet Birckhead for an appointment or for more information 732.222.3900 ext.229.
