The Star-Ledger, a leading newspaper in New Jersey, has a history dating back to The Newark Daily Advertiser, founded in 1832. The paper is based in Newark, considered to be the Gateway to New Jersey. It is the financial, commercial, transportation, and cultural hub of the Garden State.
