Library Services
The mission of the Milltown Public Library is to improve and enrich the lives of our users of all ages through timely information, education and recreation. Our goal is to promote literacy, lifelong learning, personal fulfillment, and the principles of intellectual freedom. The Library values the citizens of Milltown, New Jersey, and responds to their needs by providing a well-organized and up-to-date collection of materials, friendly professional service and well-trained staff who are committed to the Library.

Library Cards	Milltown Public Library cards are available free to any resident of Milltown, NJ. To apply for a library card, please come into the library with either a form of I.D. showing your Milltown address, or a tax bill, utility bill or lease. Non-Residents that have library cards from libraries that are participating in the New Jersey Open Borrowing Program may use their card in the Milltown Public Library. For a list of participating libraries, please visit www.openborrowing.org. Non-resident library cards are $30.00.
Open Borrowing	Milltown residents are able to use their library cards at any other LMxAC member library, as well as any other libraries that are a part of the New Jersey Open Borrowing Program. For a list of participating libraries, please visit www.openborrowing.org.
Public Computers	The library has 8 public computer terminals that provide internet access and Microsoft Office applications. Patrons may signup for half hour sessions on a first come/first served basis. Weekdays from 3 P.M. to 4 P.M. is designated as homework time for students. Printouts from computers are $.15/page; $.10 for students.
Requesting Materials	Materials that the Milltown Public Library owns can be placed on hold by Milltown patrons, and the library can request materials also from other libraries in LMxAC as well as from libraries throughout the state and country with JerseyCat. Please contact the library if you have any questions, or would like to request any material.

Meeting Room	The W. Jane Strimple Meeting Room is available for public uses that fit the criteria specified in the rules and regulations of the meeting room. To view the rules and regulations, click here. and to print an application for the meeting room, click here.
Exhibit Space	If you are a local artist or represent an artist group, and would like to exhibit work in the W. Jane Strimple Meeting Room, please contact the library director, Bonnie Sterling, at (732) 247-2270.
Exam Proctoring	The Milltown Public Library provides exam proctoring free of charge. Students should contact the library director, Bonnie Sterling, at (732) 247-2270.
Notary Service	$2.50 notary service (up to 3 signatures) is available at the Milltown Public Library. $1.00 each additional signature. Please call (732) 247-2270 to make sure the Public Notary is available.
Tax Forms	Reproducible tax forms are available in the library year round, and forms and booklets are available during tax season while supplies last.
