One of the most delightful aspects of Plainsboro Public Library is the magnificent volunteer support we get from the community. Volunteers contribute to the remarkably cost effective, innovative service at Plainsboro Public Library. From “reading the shelves”, to helping with community wide festivals, to manning the technical needs of the vast Interlibrary Loan System, to sorting donations and selling books at the monthly sale, volunteers play MAJOR roles. During 2012, nearly 100 adults and teens donated over 3,700 hours to the Plainsboro Library!

The library has programs throughout the year. We always need teen and adult volunteers to help out. Please check the library’s website and the circulation desk for opportunities. You may also email firstname.lastname@example.org and request that your name be added to the listserv to be notified of upcoming volunteer opportunities.
We are not currently recruiting more “geeks” for the technology help desk. However, if you are a “tech-savvy” Plainsboro High School student interested in helping out please email Joyce, the teen volunteer coordinator at email@example.com and we will be in touch if and when we need more volunteer “geeks”.
