Conversational English ESL Classes The Jointure Literacy Volunteers
FREE Somerville Public Library, in
conjunction with the Borough of Somerville’s Recreation Department and Van
Derveer Elementary School, offer English as a Second Language courses to adult
Somerville area residents. A bilingual Homework Club is also offered to Van Derveer school students in grades 1-5. http://www.somervillenjrec.com/bihw.html The Jointure is a non-profit organization that, in addition to its other community education efforts, offers low cost and no cost English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes to adults in the Somerville area. LVSC provides free, one-to-one and small group tutoring to functionally illiterate adults through a network of volunteers trained in Basic Literacy and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). LVSC recruits and trains volunteer tutors who are matched with adult students.LVSC's student-centered program helps adults:
